Turkey Legs and Sweet Potatoes
Old family recipe that is made every family reunion in West Virginia
Sweet potatoes sprinkled with Olive oil and garlic powder (or minced garlic) and "baked" in crock.
This stuffing is so yummy and great to take to a family dinner. Everyone will love it. It tastes just like it was cooked in the turkey!
This is probably the easiest of recipes, and turkey legs are very inexpensive. It makes a quick, easy and delicious meal with no fuss.
- 4-6 Turkey Legs (frozen works)
- 1-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2-3 Cloves of Garlic
- 3-4 Sweet Potatoes
Add turkey legs and cover with olive oil.
Add salt and pepper to taste and cloves of garlic.
Wash and cut sweet potatoes and cut in half or leave whole (however they will fit in around the turkey legs).
Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours.
