Italian Wedding Soup
Italian Wedding Soup – Great recipe for Italian wedding soup, made easy in the slow cooker
Tuna patties in a crock, say what? Yep, you no longer have to stand over the stove or fire up that grill. These healthy slow cookin’ patties are perfect for a lighter meal or when it’s just too hot outside to cook.
Used 6-quart slow cooker
Ingredients
- 3 Cans Solid White Tuna, rinsed and drained
- 1 Cup Italian Breadcrumbs
- 1 Cup Green Onion, chopped
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 2 eggs
- Garlic Powder to taste
- Foil
Directions
-
Step One
In a medium bowl, combine tuna or turkey, bread crumbs, green onion, lemon juice, eggs and garlic powder to taste.
-
Step Two
Blend with hands and make into 4-5 patties. Place patties individually into their own foil piece and wrap into a packet.
-
Step Three
Place in the bottom of the slow-cooker. Continue process until all patties are wrapped, making sure all the foil packets are placed on the bottom of the slow cooker and not stacked.
-
Step Four
Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or HIGH 2 to 3 hours.
-
Step Five
Serve on English muffins and top with sliced tomato and lettuce for a healthy burger alternative. Try steamed veggies as your side or sweet potatoe fries.
