Had to tweak this desert for my granddaughter due to extremely elevated cholesterol. I used an Angel Food Cake Mix, Fat Free cream cheese, pudding, only egg whites, subbed in unsweetened cocoa for the chips and used virgin olive oil. It totally worked and created a great desert with Fat Free Vanilla Bean ice cream that she loved. I will be creating this again and again.

If you have any other ideas to help, she is only 11 and will have to live with this plaque of elevated cholesterol due to a muted gene. I could use all the help you can give me.

it was the flavor…. but I figured out what happened…. it was 5:30 in the morning and apparently I didn’t mix the sour cream in there good enough…. so that what I bit into. Later on I scooped out more and it was delicious…. that’s what I get for trying to be somewhat “domestic” that early in the morning. :)

Was it the flavor or texture that was off, Paige?

ok… a little help, please. I put this on this morning (I have a crock pot with a timer- as to not over cook). I have to say, it is awful. I followed the recipe to the “t” and even rechecked it when I tried a bite. I have made the chocolate lava cake many time before and have never had a problem, so i wonder- did an ingredient get left out??

Can you use a mix with pudding already in it? If so, would you also add the extra pudding mix? Thanks!!!
