Tiffany’s BEST Apple-Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats
These aren't the healthiest steel-cut oats around but they ARE the tastiest! If the amount of sugar I use is too much for you then just reduce it to fit your lifestyle. My lifestyle required good flavor with food!
- 1.5 Cups steel-cut oats (not regular or quick cooking)
- 2 Cups peeled, diced apples (I prefer honeycrisp)
- 6 Cups skim milk
- 3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla
- 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 Cup chopped pecans, optional
Dump it all in and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours. If you have a Rival CP it will be more like 6 hours. Hopefully, your slow cooker switches to WARM automatically, like mine!
