Melissa. this isn’t on of our recipes but I would say one pkg is what you should use.

What brand/size stuffing do I use…I bought a 2 pack of Stove-Top bc it was on sale. Is 1 bag enough to cover a 6 Qt. crock? Or should I use 2? I have a smaller crock too, so i can use that if need be. Thanks for your help :)

Pam, with most chicken recipes you can use either frozen or thawed chicken. If you use frozen chicken then you may need to add a couple hours. Just be sure to check the internal temp of the meat. Chicken needs to reach at least 165 degrees. Also, if you use the bag of frozen chicken, you may need to double your chicken! I think they butterfly cut those bags of chicken because they seem so much smaller!

Hey, does anyone know if we should use frozen or thawed chicken
Thanks :)

I made this tonight but used Jenny O turkey breast tenderloins instead of chicken. It was fantastic! Husband loved it. Served with cranberry sauce on the side.

I just finished having this for dinner. This is a definite winner! I changed it up a little bit to suit my crockpot which cooks too fast if it isn’t full (I have a 5 quart crock). I used almost 3lbs of boneless skinless chicken breasts and a whole bag of seasoned stuffing cubes, with 2 regular size jars of gravy. Took 8 hours in my crock and tastes fabulous! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday mean and now I can get the same flavors any time of the year without all of the hassle! YUMMMM I could easily see substituting turkey for the chicken and using this as an easy Thanksgiving recipe, especially for those of us that only eat the white meat.

I just made this tonight for the first time and it was a HUGE HIT!! My hubby loved it…both my 3y/o and 1y/o love it.
Great recipe.
I followed the recipe exactly but doubled it, as we like left overs for after church.
I told my hubby…I’m gonna see what crock pot meal we’ll have tomorrow.
I love this site, Thanks Ladies,
