This recipe is quick and easy and very low in fat as well as calories. You can change up the ingredients to fit what your family likes.
Easy to make delicious taco soup in slow cooker
I will often prepare it just before bed the night before and cook it overnight on low then, since my slow cooker warm setting keeps it at a safe temp, I leave it on warm all day. It's perfect when I get home. This can be doctored like chili and served over tortilla chips, too. You can also top it with jalapeno peppers, onions, cheese, and sour cream.
- 1 Pound Lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 Medium onion chopped
- 3 Cans Beans, any type (I use a mixture pinto, a kidney and a blackÂ bean orÂ any combo)
- 1 Can Corn
- 1 Can Green beans
- 1 Can Diced tomatoes
- 1 Can Tomato sauce
- 1 Can Diced chilies
- 1 Can Tomato paste
- 1 Package Taco seasoning mix
- 1 Package Ranch dressing mix
- 1 Can Water
All cans are undrained.
Brown and drain meat.
Just dump everything into the slow cooker and cookÂ on low all day.
