Trying this tonight! Could you add marshmallows to this?!?! If so when could they be added?

  2. Amanda

This was pretty good. Next time I will double the topping and add pumpkin pie spice to the sweet potatoes mix

Toni, it sure can! I think you’ll have plenty of room in a 6qt crock if you want to double it. Just be sure you don’t fill it over 2/3 full. Now, the only downfall with doubling this recipe is your pecan topping/sweet potato ratio will be different. I love the topping and wouldn’t want to miss out on any of it!!!!

Can this recipe be doubled? I have a 6 quart crock pot. Thanks

Thanks Laurie! And, actually, use 1/3 cup of brown sugar for the topping…Nicole just likes to double her topping ingredients!

Trying this out tonite with a pork roast in another crock pot – I noticed on the sweet potato caserole recipe I printed out, the second 2/3 cup of brown sugar (for the topping) is not listed. I bet this is gonna be good!! thanks for all your great recipes and tips!

Ooops…sorry about that girl. Here is the information you need.

2- 29 ounce cans sweet potatoes, drained and mashed

We will get it changed on here as well.

In the recipe above, it does not note what kind and how much sweet potatoes to use.
