Here's a recipe for Sweet Pork---AMAZING and tastes great with tacos, burritos, sandwiches, or on a salad!

  • 2 Pounds Pork shoulder roast (the more fatty the roast, the better)
  • 1 Cup Pace Picante (Medium) sauce
  • 1 Cup Brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Step One

Wash roast and put in slow cooker. Don't trim the fat (it will fall off and you can scoop it out if needed).

  2. Step Two

Mix Sugar and salsa in a bowl and pour over roast.

  3. Step Three

Let cook for 6-8 hours (on med).

  4. Step Four

    Shred the pork.

  5. Step Five

Return back to the juices and let soak for another 15 min.

Low and slow for 6-8 hours is best! It gives your food more time to “hang out” together :)

My Crock only has low or high no medium what do you recommend?

It’s really your preference. Whatever you have on hand.

This sound wonderful. I just put it in for dinner tonight and I used light brown sugar. Is there a preference…light or dark?
