These green beans will have everyone coming back for seconds. Not only are they great for pairing with any main meal, but your kids will think they are eating candy. Perfect for entertaining or a potluck dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 (28 ounce) Package Frozen or fresh cut green beans
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic powder or minced fresh garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon onion powder

Directions

  1. Step One

    Place green beans in a 6 or 7 quart slow cooker.

  2. Step Two

    Top with remaining ingredients and thoroughly combine.

  3. Step Three

    Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours.

    Delicious!!! If you are going only by the printed version of the recipe, make sure to drizzle some extra virgin olive oil before crockin’. I saw that on the video but not listed on the actual recipe. My boys 7 & 4 loved these green beans!! They are really delicious! I used frozen whole green beans for our dinner.

    Just rating this in the middle as I plan on making these tonight. I signed up for vimeo but still wasn’t able to watch the video, message on there said it (the video) was private. What gives? also going to try this with sugar twin since my husband is diabetic.

    I wasn’t impressed. These weren’t very sweet at all, and I ended up having to give the kids dipping sauce to eat them. I thought they were good, just saying that the recipe seems to be geared towards getting your kids to eat them. As for the person who had an issue with the lack of moisture, I was afraid too, but the beans gave off enough moisture that is wasn’t a problem. :)

    You would be surprised how much moisture comes from the frozen green beans. There will be no sear.

    what provides the liquid/mixture base for this? it seems like just putting green beans on bare crock pot would sear them? Thanks!
