I need clarification please… the recipe calls for one “package” of the soup mix….

Does this mean the contents of a box or one single envelope from the box?

This was really yummy! It was nice to break the monotony of our usual spaghetti. I had to look at 3 different grocery stores for the Lipton Herb and Garlic soup, but it was worth it. We’ll be making this again sometime soon :-)

I live in a somewhat remote area in Alaska where finding some ingredients aren’t so easy. I’m making this tonight for dinner and trying to substitute the Lipton soup mix as we don’t have it here. Fingers crossed!! :D

Christina…wanted to mention that if your chicken was dry you may have cooked it too long. Not all crocks cook the same just like other appliances. Some crocks cook really hot. 5-6 hours on low may have been enough time for your chicken to get done, but not too done :) As long as your chicken reaches an internal temp of 165, you don’t have to cook any longer. Hope you have better crockin’ luck next time, girl!

I made this today for supper and it wasn’t as good as I had expected it to be. It was very soupy and the chicken was dry.

This was good. I also substituted the soup mix for the regular onion soup mix due to availability and added some fresh mushrooms. I will add more garlic and pepper to it next time I make it and will also try to find the soup mix that it calls for. Overall good will just tweek the seasonings a little more next time for personal preference. I also used thawed cubed chicken breast.

This was GREAT!! My daughter, who has been brave in trying everything I make in my crock pot (I’m sort of a new crock pot cooker!), commented after she started eating, “This is really good!”

I put this all together this morning around 10 a.m. and we ate right at 6:00 p.m. after going to basketball games all afternoon for my daughter.

I made it as described and just added some garlic salt to taste! Next time, I might sneak in some mushrooms, just can’t tell my daughter who does not like mushrooms!

This is wonderful! My kids love it when we have “stupid chicken” for dinner.

The only thing I do different is add a can of mushrooms, yummy!

*cooked chicken breast or not cooked??

This was very good. Only had one can of diced tomatoes, so I used a 15 oz can of tomato sauce. Could not find the Lipton soup mix at the store, so I substituted the regular onion soup mix. It was still good!
