Easy Southern Pulled Pork


  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 3.5 Pound Pork shoulder roast
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Lemon pepper
  • 1 Bottle (12 oz) chili sauce
  • 3 (1.31 oz) Packages Sloppy Joe mix
  • 1/2 Cup Low sodium beef broth
  • Hamburger buns


  1. Step One

    Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Step Two

    Season pork with garlic salt & lemon pepper.

  3. Step Three

    Brown on all sides. Place in slow cooker.

  4. Step Four

    In a small bowl, combine chili sauce, sloppy Joe mix, and broth. Pour over roast.

  5. Step Five

    Cover and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or high for 4 hours.

  6. Step Six

    Shred pork and place on buns

    Not a silly question, Robbie :) Actually, a lot of our recipes are ones that friends and family have shared with us. We usually make our pulled pork like we did for the Crockin Monday video (we don’t brown the meat first). We try to make our favorite recipes and include them under the Crockin’ Monday recipe tab :)

    Silly question…why do you brown the roast in this recipe but not on the others? I’ve brown a beef roast but never a pork roat. Just wondering…Thanks for all of your fabulous ideas! I’ve tried several recipes & I have never been disappointed =D
