Slow Cooked Italian Beef – A tasty recipe for the slow cooker.


  • 3 Pounds Beef Chuck Roast or Sirloin
  • 1 Onion, quartered
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 (10.5 to 14 oz.) Can Beef Broth
  • 1 Package Good Seasons Italian salad dressing
  • 1 Package Dry Au Jus mix 1/2 (16 oz.) jar Pepperoncini peppers and juice


  1. Step One

    Place meat and the onion in a 5-quart slow cooker.

  2. Step Two

    Mix up next 5 ingredients in a small bowl, then pour over meat. Add peppers and juice.

  3. Step Three

    Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.

  4. Step Four

    Remove meat from cooker and slice or shred.

  5. Step Five

    Have juice and peppers available to put on sandwiches or on the side.

    This was sooooo good! My family loved it! I don’t like Pepperoncini peppers, but they totally make this recipe – the peppers and the juice add such great flavor and aroma. I picked them out of my portion once it done. This is a keeper!
