Sauer “sour” Apple Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 1 medium apple, quartered, sliced thin length-wise
- 2 Medium Red Potatoes, quartered
- 1 Medium Onion, sliced thin length-wise
- 1 Can Large can of sauerkraut, rinsed
- 4-6 Pork chops, bone in
- 1/4 Teaspoons Ground Cloves
- 1 Cups Apple Juice
- 1/4 Cups Flour
- 3/4 Cups Milk
Directions

Step One
Brown pork chops on medium heat with the butter in a skillet.

Step Two
In a slow cooker, place potatoes and onions.

Step Three
Add a layer of sauerkraut and a layer of pork chops, repeat once.

Step Four
In a small bowl, mix scrapings from skillet, apple juice, cloves, salt and pepper. Pour over mixture in slow cooker.

Step Five
Add apples on top and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.

Step Seven
Once cooked, mix flour and milk together until well blended.

Step Eight
Drain 2 cups of "sauer" liquid from pot into a small boiler and heat on stove until steaming.

Step Nine
Add flour and milk mixture to it and cook until thickened.

Step Ten
Remove pork chops from slow cooker, adding the "gravy" and mixing well. Add pork chops back to mixture and stir it in to coat meat.

what does it mean by apple juice butter? im wanting to try this recipe next week..when I make porkchops again..Im trying a lot of your recipes to see which will be in our rotation..and I think the hubs and kiddios will like this..but, what im confused on what you mean by apple juice butter? lol sorry
