Roast is a great meal for entertaining a hungry crowd, and salsa roast is a nice twist on the traditional roast.

Ingredients

  • 1 Jar Salsa (16 ounce)
  • 1 Package Dry Onion Soup Mix
  • Enough Water to Cover the Meat
  • 1 Pinch Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • 4-5 Pounds Roast beef

Directions

  1. Step One

    Place roast in crock and sprinkle with the soup, salt and pepper.

  2. Step Two

    Pour the salsa over the top and add enough water to cover the meat.

  3. Step Three

    Cook on high for 6-8 hours, until meat is tender.

    Ashley, I serve this with mashed potatoes and make a gravy out of the juices from the roast. I also have green beans and corn with this meal.
