Rosemary Garlic Beef – simple to make in a slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 5-6 Pounds beef roast
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons dried rosemary
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 16 Ounces beef stock

Directions

  1. Step One

    Arrange onion slices on bottom of slow cooker.

  2. Step Two

    Place roast on top of onion slices.

  3. Step Three

    Combine olive oil and Worcestershire in small bowl and pour over roast liberally, rub in with fingers or a basting brush.

  4. Step Four

    Place garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper on roast, then pour beef stock in around the roast, taking care not to disturb the spices on top.

  5. Step Five

    Cook on low for 8 to 9 hours, adding potatoes and carrots in 3 to 4 hours before serving.

    Sorry y’all…this slipped through the cracks. It should be cook on low for 8-9 hours.

    I’m confused too – should this be cooked on high or low. Top of recipe says to cook on low but directions say on high.

    Is this really meant to be cooked on “high” for 8-9 hours or is it meant to say “low”?
