I made this again for New Year’s Eve, but I toned it down just a tad by doing a combination of 75% milk chocolate and 25% semi-sweet chocolate. It was a little less overwhelmingly sweet, but still super rich and chocolatey. I am drinking a reheated mug right now. :-)

Absolutely delicious!!! I used Land O Lakes hot chocolate mix, heavy whipping cream and chopped up some Hershey kisses for my milk chocolate morsels until I had a 1 1/2 cups. Made this for Christmas afternoon and the entire family enjoyed it. Add some whipped cream on top and it is like having dessert in a cup! Great recipe!! Just keep whisking it every so often to make sure it doesn’t burn. After it cooked for 2 hours I put it on keep warm so everyone could enjoy some when they wanted it.

Does it make any difference whether you use whipping cream (listed in the recipe) or heavy whipping cream (mentioned in the Crockin’ Monday video)? I have whipping cream in the fridge right now, but not heavy.

If it’s not all gone, could it be refrigerated and then reheated? If so, how would you suggest reheating?

Is this pre-packaged Cocoa or Cocoa Powder?
