  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 - 4 large sweet potatoes

  2. Step Two

Marinade in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.

  3. Step Three

Remove steaks from baggie and place in a pan on the stove to slightly brown. Salt and paper steaks as
    desired.

The taste of the steak was much better the 2nd day, cutup and heated for a salad. Did not like the taste on the 1st day. Loved the potatoes cooked and were done. The sweet potato fell out of the skin.

Tina, the potatoes can get brown inside if your slow cooker cooks on the hot side. You just need to come off the cook time a little.

Could you use regular baking potatoes with this instead of sweet potatoes? I love sweet potatoes, but my family doesn’t.

On the recipe it says to add 2 T garlic. Is this garlic powder, garlic cloves, or garlic salt? This looks yummy and plan on making it for the fam.

I had some steak laid out thicker than the cuts you use. But I tasted more like a roast than a steak was a little disappointed. And my potatoes were a little brown inside and tasted like the meat any way to alleviate this?

If I needed to increase cook time due to my work schedule could I skip browning the meat?
