Low Fat and Low Sugar Apple Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 5 Cups Bread, diced
  • Spray Butter
  • 4 Cups Apples
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 3/4 Cups Apple Juice or Cider
  • 1/4 Cups Splenda Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cups Splenda
  • 1 Teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 Teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoons Allspice
  • 1/2 Cups Raisins
  • 1/4 Cups favorite liqueur coffee flavoring syrup* (optional)
  • 1/2 Cups Pecans (or favorite nut)

Directions

  1. Step One

    Dice bread into 1/2 inch to 1 inch pieces.

  2. Step Two

    Spray bread with spray butter.

  3. Step Three

    Toast under broiler for 5 min.

  4. Step Four

    Toss and toast again for 5 more min.or until golden and crisp.( May have to adjust time according to your oven.)

  5. Step Five

    Watch to insure you do not burn. Mix all ingredients together in crock pot except nuts.

  6. Step Six

    Cook on low for 5 hours. Stir lightly about half way through cook time.

  7. Step Seven

    Serve and top with nuts and sugar free caramel and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
