Yummy, tender chicken seasoned to perfection with a few ingredients; provides a versatile protein. Great slow cooker recipe!

Ingredients

  • 3 Chicken breast, trimmed
  • 1 Tablespoon Taco seasoning
  • 1 Jar Corn and black bean salsa
  • 1/4 Cup Water

Directions

  1. Step One

Trim chicken breast and place on bottom of slow cooker. Sprinkle taco seasoning evenly on top of the chicken.

  2. Step Two

Pour a jar of your favorite salsa on top of the chicken and add the water. Place the lid on and cook for 3 hours on high (Cooking time may vary, I have a Crock Pot brand slow cooker.).

  3. Step Three

Shred the chicken and serve with your favorite taco toppings. Is also great as a nacho topping, salad topping, or as a sandwich filling. The spicy-ness will depend on the salsa you choose.

Appeared to be a bit watery. Perhaps it was the chicken breast I used. Tasty!

What is 1 TB? Does that mean Tablespoon because I usually see that as Tbsp. Just wanted to make sure I get it right! :)

A 16 ounce jar of salsa is what I use, Lisa.

My 4 kids loved this, and I loved how healthy and easy it was. Served in whole wheat tortillas with a side salad – yum! Keep the healthy recipes coming!
