Apple Pot Roast – Recipe for the slow cooker.
I picked tons of homegrown apples and had so many leftovers, so decided to try this concoction.
Hope you enjoy.
- 6-8 apples, any variety
- 1/2 Cup water
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon sugar (this is optional)
- 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla
Peel and core apples. ( I didn't peel, because I like the vitamins from the peel).
Cut into chunky pieces and put into crockpot.
Combine all the other ingredients in a small bowl and pour mixture over apples. Stir until apples are coated.
After cooked, mash into the consistency you like.
Freezes great. Makes great gifts.
