Great Hawaiian pork without digging that pesky hole in your yard or facing uncomfortable questions like "why is that pig looking at me funny."

Ingredients

  • 1 Pork shoulder
  • Liquid Smoke, to taste
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Step One

    Take Pork Shoulder and rub with sea salt and ground black pepper (to taste on the pepper, I like a lot).

  2. Step Two

    Put in slow cooker and add about 2-3 Tablespoons liquid smoke.

  3. Step Three

    Cook 6 hours on high. Adjust time to your slow cooker. You want to be able to shred easily. Remove any bones.

  4. Step Four

    After shredding, let sit to absorb some of the juices.

  5. Step Five

    You can drain if desired but allow the meat to absorb some of the juices (yes, grease) for flavor.

  6. Step Six

    Serve with steamed rice and Italian dressed coleslaw. Whatever pork is left over you can then add taco seasoning for tacos later in the week or enchiladas. Or add BBQ sauce for shredded pork sandwiches.
