This is one of our favorite recipes from our Crockin' for the Holiday magazine! The easy recipe is the perfect pop-in-your-mouth appetizer for your next party. Easy prep with exceptional flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) container whipped cream cheese
  • 1 Cup cream mushroom soup
  • 1/2 to 1 Cup sliced jalapeños (jarred), chopped
  • 1 Cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 Cans crescent rolls
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions

  1. Step One

    Mix together first 4 ingredients.

  2. Step Two

    Unroll crescent rolls and spread mixture onto the rolls.

  3. Step Three

    Roll up and slice into pinwheels.

  4. Step Four

    Melt butter in a bowl and add in minced garlic. Brush the top of pinwheels with garlic butter (enough to lightly coat top), then cover and cook on HIGH for 3 to 3½ hours. You can brush tops with garlic butter again if desired (you may not use all of garlic butter).

  5. Step Five

    When cooking time is complete, turn off slow cooker and take off lid for 30 minutes before serving.

    Coleen, maybe try refrigerating the roll before cutting. It could be that the dough got really soft during the prep. Let us know!

    I made these according to directions. When I tried to cut them every thing squished out and the dough was tough to cut. I used a pretty sharp knife. What did I do wrong?

    You can use a can of chopped green chilies. They would be milder than jalapenos. For something totally different, you can use sliced black olives. Have fun at your party.

    My husband doesn’t like Jalapeños what can I use in place of those. I am also thinking about doing this for a party.

    No, don’t stack them on top of each other, Carol. After slicing, lay them spiral side down (your spirals will cover only the bottom of the crock), brush with butter, then cover and crock. They’re a little crispy, but still soft. If you’re concerned about the condensation then you can place a towel under your lid, but we didn’t do that and they were still fine. Be sure to watch the video for clarification, too. :) Happy Crockin’!

    Please clarify..after you slice and brush them, do you stack them on top of each other ? I always spray my container, so after doing that, stack them in , cover and let them cook 3 hours.? Do they get crispy? are they soft and doughy? Does the condensation that gets on the top of the inside of the lid make them soggy? How many servings does it make?
    I am not being rude, but I do need clarification, as I think this would be delicious and would like to try it.! I haven’t used a crockpot for anything other than the most basic recipes. i am trying to change that :) Thank you!!
