Creamy Italian Chicken – A tasty recipe for the slow cooker.
A wonderful tasting meatloaf that goes great with noodles or any array of veggies!. My family loves it!! My husband didn't like meatloaf until he tasted this one! And it freezes well so you can enjoy the leftovers (if there are any) another time too!
- 2 Pounds Lean ground beef
- 2 Cups bread crumbs
- 1/2 Cup spaghetti sauce (or tomato sauce)
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tablespoons dried chopped onion
- 1 1/4 Teaspoons salt
- 1 Teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon dried Italian herbs, crushed
- 1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon black pepper
- 2 Tablespoons spaghetti sauce (or tomato sauce)
Fold a 30 inch long piece of foil in half lengthwise and place in the bottom of the crock pot. Make sure that both ends hang over the top edge of the cooker so you can easily remove the meat loaf after it is cooked.
In a large bowl, mix ground beef with the next 9 ingredients. (everything but the 2 tablespoons spaghetti sauce) until well blended. Shape into a loaf and place in crock pot on top of foil. Spread the 2 tablespoons of sauce over the top.
Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours or until beginning to brown and juices run clear. (2 1/2 to 3 hours on high)
Use ends of foil to lift out meat loaf and transfer to serving platter. ENOJY!
