Italian Beef – A delicious recipe for the slow cooker
- 2-3 Pounds Chuck Roast
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 medium green pepper, sliced
- 1-2 Package Good Season's Dry Zesty Italian Dressing Mix
- Water or Beef Broth - enough to come up 1/2 way on meat
- Pepperoncini peppers
- Hoagie, Sub or your choice of buns
Place meat, onion, green pepper in slow cooker.
Sprinkle dressing mix over meat and vegetables.
Add water/broth pouring over the top to wet the dressing mix.
Cover and cook on HIGH 8 hours or until you can shred the meat easily by hand or forks.
Turn slow cooker to LOW and return meat to juices until ready to serve.
Serve on buns with pepperonciniâ€™s.
