We love this. The first time I made this I added broccoli and put it over baked potatoes. Tonight I am making it again (with broccoli), this time we are using it as filling for homemade Hot Pockets.

I don’t know, Kara. Are you just wanting to stay away from the carbs? My first thought was pita bread, but that’s not a far cry from sandwich bread…lol! Serving as a baked potato topping may work! Or, maybe you could just eat it as a meat entree and serve it with mashed potatoes! Hope that gets some ideas rolling for you, girl!

If u don’t put it on a sandwich how do you eat it?

Janet, You will use the 1lb box of Velveeta and a 12 oz can of milk. So, if you use half of the amount of ham, you will use half of the amount of the Velveeta and milk.

The consistency would be delicious topping a baked potato. May be a little runny for sandwiches but maybe you can use a slotted spoon to serve it.

I’m thinking of serving this like a sloppy joe, but I don’t know what the consistency will be. Also thought of topping a baked potato with it. What have some of you done?

I’m trying this right now in a small cooker with one pound of ham. In order to adjust the measurements, I need to know the size of the Velveeta and the can of milk. Can someone help me?

This is excellent – tastes awesome! When I made it for the second time, I accidentally forgot to tell the deli that I wanted the ham shaved and they sliced it on #1…it totally made a difference because when the meat is shaved it soaks in all of that cheese more than it does when it isn’t. It was still yummy though! I will try to not make mistake again of not ordering ham shaved! LOL!
