Hey Rachael…we never make our desserts in anything smaller than 5qts, and usually 6qts is perfect. Sorry, girl :( Check out our crockin’ size recommendations on our Crockin’ 101 page. http://crockingirls.com/crockin-101/

Really needs to be in a bigger crockpot. Definitely ruined a perfectly good brownie mix. It sat in my crockpot (3 qt.) for well over 6 hours and still didn’t set up. Such a disappointment. :(

I made something similar to this. I wish I had made the brownies more fudge-like rather than cake-like. I think I would have enjoyed it even more. The CG have a recipe like this but they add chocolate chips and nuts. Also, let it cool…it tastes much better after sitting for a bit!

You’re right, it didn’t quite set up in the middle. A little too ooey gooey, but still tasted good, my family didn’t seem to mind! I would recommend not doubling the recipe.

As long as your crock is large enough. If your batter is too think it won’t set up in the middle. Let us know how it turns out!

    Can this recipe be doubled?

I’ve always been a skeptic when it came to making dessert in the slow cooker, but this is great! I recommend a scoop of vanilla ice cream with it : )

Just a regular size box of brownie mix like Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker.

    What size brownie mix?

This was great! I will be making again. It really didn’t have “fudge” on it but it was extremely moist. I served it with vanilla ice cream and couldn’t put it down.
