Homemade cream of chicken soup, healthy alternative to processed cream of chicken soup, simple ingredients, healthy soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 2-4 Tablespoons Flour
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Step One

    Combine broth, milk, 2 tablespoons flour, and salt in a small saucepan and bring to a boil; whisking continually.

  2. Step Two

    Remove from heat when reached to desired thickness. If not thick enough, add remaining 2 tablespoons of flour.

    Yes, Amy! This is great to freeze in 10 3/4 oz serving sizes so if a recipe calls for a can of cream of “something” you can use this instead :) Much healthier for ya!

    Laura,
    You are just going to bring the soups to a boil. You will then remove it from the heat and let it cool before adding to your recipe. If you need to thicken a little more, add more flour.
