Herb and Garlic Chicken


  • 2 Packages Lipton Garlic and Herb "Secrets" Soup
  • 3 Pounds Boneless Chicken or a little more
  • 1 Cup Chicken broth


  1. Step One

    Cook for 4-6 hours on high (the chicken will shred itself).

  2. Step Two

    Use it in all sorts of recipes. YUM

    I had to alter this recipe as well. I checked three local grocery stores and couldn’t find the garlic & herb soup mix so I improvised and it turned out great! I used Weber’s Just Add Juice Garlic & Herb Marinade Mix. I added the seasoning and lemon juice to the chicken in the crock-pot. I just realized I forgot the chicken broth like this recipe calls for and next time I’ll def. add it in! If you can’t find the Lipton mix in this recipe then I def. recommend Weber’s!

    I made this just as it is and it was great. All my picky kids even ate it! The only thing I would possibly change is maybe using a low sodium chicken broth next time. It was a bit salty but still very very tasty!

    I made this with a couple of changes. My local grocery store did not have the garlic and herb soup mix so i used 1 vegetable and 1 onion and mushroom mix. Towards the end of cooking I chopped up herbs from my garden- italian parsley, oregano, rosemary and sweet basil. The outcome was delicious! I served it over jasmine rice. Thanks for the recipe. It will become one of my go to dinners.
