Golden Beef Stroganoff- easy and tasty recipe


  • 2 Cans Golden Mushroom Soup
  • 1/2 Can Water
  • 2 Packages Lipton Dry Onion Mushroom Soup
  • 2 Pounds Stew Meat
  • 16 Ounces Sour Cream
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Chef Paul Meat Magic
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Pepper


  1. Step One

    Throw all ingredients in the crock except the sour cream.

  2. Step Two

    Cook 6 hrs, add sour cream and cook another half hour on high to get it hot.

  3. Step Three

    You can eat it over white rice or noodles.

    I make this all the time, my husband loves it, but for some reason I’m having trouble pulling it up tonight, hoping to make it tomorrow, is anyone else having trouble seeing this recipe?

    We love this recipe! I used elk meat and beef broth since I didn’t have golden mushroom soup. I also added some sliced mushrooms. I did have to add a little thickener, it was a bit thin. Also no meat magic seasoning but it turned out great! Thanks!

    For those of you that use cream of mushroom soup instead, do you still add in the sourcream?

    My family loves this reciepe! I use regular cream of mushroom soup. I don’t add chef paul,but it comes out perfectly!! Oh, and I cut down on the pepper. So far this one is a huge hit and everyone asks for seconds.

    I made this for supper tonight and it was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! I tweeked it just a bit, I thought I had golden mushroom, but apparently I forgot to buy some when I went shopping sooo I used 2 cans of low sodium cream of mushroom, I added 1/2 can of milk along with the 1/2 can of water to make it a little creamier. It was perfection! It was a big hit in our household, definitely will be making it again soon! =) Thank you once again for this website! My 8th wedding anniversary is coming up next week, maybe I’ll hint to the hubby I want your cookbook!
