Garlic Chicken Thighs – Delicious recipe made in the slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 5-10 Chicken Thighs
  • 1 Jar Annie's Green Garlic Dressing

Directions

  1. Step One

Brown 5-10 chicken thighs (leave skin on).

  2. Step Two

Put them in the slow cooker.

  3. Step Three

Pour one bottle of Annie's Green Garlic Dressing over them. (You can find it in the organic section.)

  4. Step Four

Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

  5. Step Five

Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.

Note: This looks really gross when you first pour the dressing on. Don't freak out. It will look really good by the time it's ready!

Using different dressings sounds tasty. It would give it a new twist on the taste.

I love this recipe because it’s so easy. Could I use different variations/flavors of Annie’s dressing instead of the garlic? For instance, the ranch or roasted red pepper?

This had a good flavor and the meat was very tender, but it was very greasy and I even took off the skin on all the thighs. Next time I will try chicken breasts or maybe even lean pork chops.

I added chicken brotyh (my family wants gravy) and placed a frozen whole green beans in during last 1 1/2 hour. Everyone was fighting over this dish. I also browned thighs and removed skin from 1/2 of the thighs. Am going to make again and only use two skinned thighs. It was a bit greasey.

Could you use skinless boneless and get just as good as an outcome?
