Stefanie G. and Marcie, you can use cream of onion…it would add a good flavor without being overpowering.

We usually keep a 2 lb block on hand so it is 1/2 of that. In reality, you can’t put too much cheese in it.

You said to use 1/2 of velveeta block, is that 1/2 of a 1 lb or 2 lb. block??
Thanks a bunch, can’t wait to make it!!

I use the cheese from Velata to make this. Velata has 4 delious flavors and I used the cheddar cheese they come in 8oz. tubs. It was delious even tho I am not a big susage eater.

What do you use besides cream of mushroom soup?

  6. Stefanie G.

Can you use something other than mushroom soup? My husband doesn’t like them.

Scott, you will use crumbled breakfast sausage. Cook the sausage before adding to the dip. You can also your Jimmy Dean’s sausage crumbles if you are in a pinch for time.

What kind of sausage? Breakfast Pork, Italian Sausage or something else?
