This taste just like a stuffed green pepper. Wonderful for cold winter nights. A comfort food for our family. We serve it with Corn Bread.

Slow Cooked Rice Pudding – Simple to make in the slow cooker
Slow cooker apple brown betty – A delicious recipe for the slow cooker
- 3 Pounds Cooking Apples
- 10 Slices of Bread, cubed
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Butter, melted
Wash apples, peel, core, cut into eighths, then place in bottom.
Combine bread cubes, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, butter, then toss together.
Place on top of apples in slow cooker. Cover.
Place slow cooker into outer shell. Cook on LOW setting 2 to 4 hours.
