I messed up this recipe, but it ended up being great! I accidentally opened a packet of dry ranch dressing mix, and instead of using the dry italian mix, I decided–what the heck? I made the chicken according to the recipe, except for the ranch mix, plus I added 1/4 c. water (because my crock cooks super hot), and I used 1 1/2 pkg. of cream cheese because I used 4 (frozen) chicken breasts. I was a little nervous about the ranch mix, but it was super yummy! It probably would have been fine with just 1 package of cream cheese. Will definitely make it again.

I have made this several times now and take it to my nieces family. The kids are so wild over it. They attack me at the door when they smell it. 3 and 7 year olds are hard to please and this is their favorite. This has made my life so easy. Thank you for this recipy

Made this tonight and it was delish! I made one mistake — added water (3/4 cup) cuz it seemed thick…duh, probably didn’t need to do that since the chicken creates its own juice! Maybe next time, I would just add 1/4 cup (personal preference – don’t like my sauces thick).

    Yummy anyway :)

This is the first recipe I made from this site, and will definitely make it again! I made the recipe as instructed. During the final hour of cooking, I added one cup of pearl barley and one package of frozen spinach. It was absolutely delicious. Barley is so creamy itself, and complimented the creaminess of the recipe. The final product was very similar to risotto, only with fewer carbs and more fiber. I would make this once a week but I think my waistline would rebel.

Made this last week, as the first recipe I tried from this site. I used 4 frozen boneless chicken breasts, 1.5 packages of cream cheese and the rest of the recipes as written. Served with rice and broccoli. Very tasty!

Made this the other day, didn’t have italian dressing mix so just added some herb de provence, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Also added 1/2 grated romano cheese in the beginning. Shredded the chick up when it was done cooking and added 1 pk of frozen peas (heated them first). Served over pasta, yumm!!
