could I use this sauce to put over a bag of mixed vegetables you think like as a side dish?
Jennifer
Fabulous!!! Even the pickiest of my 4 kids gobbled this up. I will definetely make this again.
Janina
Excellent flavor, great over rice or noodles!

Hey ladies I just wanted to let you know that this dish was “lick your plate” delicious. Also thanks for responding to my questions so quickly!
Crockin Girls
Hey Judy! If you’re gonna be gone for the day I would suggest you not cut the chicken into strips…keep the breasts whole. You can definitely add the soup and cream cheese at the start. Using Italian Herb cooking creme sounds delish! Yum!!!! Crock on LOW 6-8 hours, depending on how hot your crock cooks. If your crock switches to WARM automatically that will buy you a few more hours! :)
Judy G.
I’m planning to make this tomorrow but will need to cook it slow and low since I work all day. Should I put the soup and cream cheeses in before I go to work or add it when I get home? Would this work with the Philadelphia Italian herb cooking cream? Thanks ladies!

Made this for my family and it was a hit with EVERYONE! Served it with mashed potatoes and the gravy was SO GOOD on the potatoes too, BTW, I had to leave for an appointment so I went ahead and added the soup and cream cheese after I coated the chicken with butter and italian dressing and it turned out wonderfully!
Brenda
I also have a picky husband and he said “good”. High praise coming from him, lol! The only thing I added was some chicken broth with the cream cheese and soup because it seemed a bit thick. Yummy, definitely on the rotation! Thanks Girls :)
Chelsea
So easy and SO GOOD!

Trina and Regina…we love to hear how y’all tweak a recipe to make it your own. It’s great to sneak in some veggies when you can and the french fried onion rings sound like a YUMMO idea! Thanks y’all and Happy Crockin’ to ya!
Trina
My family loved this , However I made it super easy on myself with Frozen chicken. I added the melted butter, both cans of soup and Italian packet and poured over the chicken and set on low for 6 hours. At hour 6 I added the cream cheese. 5 minutes prior to serving I added 2 cups frozen peas for some green /veggie on the plate. It was awesome over rice.
Regina
Love it! I had to make a slight change as I forgot to buy the packet of italian dressing mix. So, instead of the 1/2 cup butter and packet of italian dressing mix, I used 1/2 cup of italian dressing. It worked great! I put it over egg noodles and topped it with French’s Fried Onions once it was on the plates. That little crunch on the top was yummy! My boyfriend ate 2 big plates and he’s picky…yeah!!!!
Karen
This was absolutely delicious! Another hit from the Crocking Girls. Keep those great recipes coming!

I made this for our home church today and it was a HUGE HUGE HUGE Hit. This is one delicious meal. I was told it was PHENOMINAL!!
I tripled the recipe. I wanted a bit more gravy so instead of 3 cans of cream of chicken, I used 4 cans and kept the rest of the ingredients the same.
Crockin Girls
Jennifer, I hate it when that happens! How’d it turn out???
Jennifer R.
I wasn’t paying very good attention to the directions and I put all the ingredietns in the crockpot together. Will it turn out o.k.?

YAY Lindsay! So glad we have a new crockin’ convert :) Happy Crockin’ to ya!
Lindsay
I made this for the family and everyone loved it! I never used a crockpot till I found you girls on Facebook. Thanks for a wonderful website! I will be getting the cookbook too.
Crockin Girls
Sure! Just don’t cut the breasts into strips. It may end up shredding since you’re crockin’ it low and slow…
Melissa
Is there anyway i can cook this on low for 6-8 hours while at work?
Sarah
Very yummy, and quick! Even with frozen chicken it only took a couple of hours! Thanks girls!
Crockin Girls
Thanks, Linzi!

I’m in Australia and cannot find the packet of Italian Dressing Mix….any suggestions for a substitute? Thanks!
Crockin Girls
The cream soups are almost interchangeable. The ranch dressing will give it a different taste but can you ever really go wrong with ranch? I don’t think so.
Petra B.
I’m not very domestic but really wanna try this recipe today. However, I don’t have cream of chicken, only cream of mushroom and a packet of ranch dressing mix, not Italian. You think this will work? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Jamie G.
This was really good. I followed the recipe exactly. Even my picky 11 year old loved it, lol.
Rebecca P.
I made this recipe and just dumped everything in at once, except the noodles since I was going to be gone for more than 2 hours. (cooked on low for 4 hours)
It was so good! I used whole wheat egg noodles and it was all eaten, good sign at my house.
I also shredded the chicken after it cooked and it was really tender.
Kelly M.
This was yummy! The only thing different I did was shred the chicken before I cooked the egg noodles. Drained the noodles and mixed it all in the crock pot.
Cheri O.
Didn’t have any salad dressing mix, so used 1/2 a packet of Roasted Potato Seasoning. Substituted cream of chicken with cream of broccoli soup. When chicken was cooked (took 4 hours on low), added a large head of chopped fresh broccoli to the crock, which finished just in time for the arborio rice to be done. My fussy 8-year-old daughter said “this is the BEST chicken I have EVER had!!” My sons (11 & 14) and husband devoured it, as well. Not “company food”, but an easy and delicious family pleaser, for sure!
