Country Scalloped Potatoes and Ham – easy to cook in slow sooker
Ingredients
- 8 potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 Pounds fully cooked ham cubed
- 1 Package dry country style gravy mix
- 1 Can cream of mushroom
- 2 Cups water
- 2 Cups shredded cheese
Directions

Step One
Combine potatoes, onion, and ham in lightly greased slow cooker.

Step Two
Combine gravy mix, mushroom soup, and water.

Step Three
Whisk until combined.

Step Four
Pour over potatoes.

Step Five
Cook on low for 7-8 hrs. or high 3-4.

Step Six
Top with cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

I made this for my family last night and it was amazing!! Finally a recipe that EVERYONE liked!! Will be making this again very soon!!
The only “bad” thing I could say about this is that the potatoes got a little mushy..but I think that may have been from the stirring and maybe it cooking too long. It was still yummy though! :)

I just made this and it is delicious! My husband is more of a picky eater than my 3 kids! I was a little worried when I read the ingredient’s…I was worried that it wouldn’t be true scalloped potatoes and ham…But, as we have all learned…The Crockin Girl’s got it goin’ on!!! So good! Tomorrow night is the best pork chop recipe. I’ll let you know how it is! Thanks again for another great meal!

Mary, you can find it in the packet seasoning section of your store (chili seasoning packets, fajita meat seasoning packets, gravy packets, etc).

This recipe was not only easy, but a total hit with everyone! I made it up the night before and put it in the fridge. My daughter put the crockpot on and by the time I got home from work, they were eating it without the cheese! I added the cheese and it is all gone! Off to the store for more gravy mix to make it again!

You could use any cream soup that you like…celery, chicken, potato…go for it!

This is the first meal I’ve made in my crock pot(I’ve made lots of buffalo chicken dip!!), and it was SOOO good! I did substitute a can of cream of onion for the cream of mushroom and I served it with hawaiian sweet rolls. Husband even got up for seconds. ” )
