Chinese Pepper Steak – A tasty recipe for the slow cooker
- 1.5 Pounds Steak
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 1 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce, reduced sodium
- 1 Teaspoon Sugar
- 1 Ounce Bean Sprouts
- 1 Cup Diced Tomatoes
- 2 Green Peppers, cut into strips
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1 Large Onion, chopped
Cut steak in strips and brown steak in oil.
Mix garlic, soy sauce, and sugar; pour over steak.
Cook 6 hours on low in slow cooker.
Turn to high and add sprouts, tomatoes, green peppers, and onion.
Dissolve cornstarch in water and add for thickening.
Cover and cook an additional hour.
Serve over hot cooked rice!
