The yummy tang of fresh cranberries combines with savory cinnamon and ginger to make a completely delicious fall crockin' meal!

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 Cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 Cup orange juice
  • 3 Tablespoons flour
  • 2 Tablespoons cold water

Directions

  1. Step One

    Mix all ingredients, except flour and water, in crock

  2. Step Two

    Cover and cook on LOW 4-5 hours, until chicken is done.

  3. Step Three

    Mix flour and cold water until smooth, add to pot for the last 15-20 minutes and cook until thickened.

  4. Step Four

    I served with long grain and wild rice and a vegetable.

    Made this a couple days ago and loved it! Had it over brown basmati rice with a side of broccoli and it made the perfect meal. Just the right amount of spices.

    Just a question.. can you use canned whole cranberries if you cant find any fresh cranberries.. if you can .. how much..

    Thalia – I would use the same amount of white sugar – 3 Tablespoons. Hope you like it! :-)
