Chicken Tacos 2 – A great recipe for the slow cooker.


  • 1 Package Chicken taco seasoning
  • 4 Frozen chicken breasts
  • 1/2 Package Pico de gallo
  • 1/4 Cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 Cup Water


  1. Step One

    Pour 1 package of chicken taco seasoning on the bottom of the slow cooker.

  2. Step Two

    Place 4 frozen chicken breasts over the seasoning.

  3. Step Three

    Pour some pico over the top.

  4. Step Four

    Pour 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup olive oil over the top.

  5. Step Five

    Do not stir... just leave it be!

  6. Step Six

    Simmer on low for 4-6 hours.

  7. Step Seven

    Shred it up, and serve with mexican cheese, sour cream, guacamole, etc.

    This is really delicious (Rotel works in a pinch as a sub for Pico) and as close as I’ve come to the chicken tacos I get by making them in a skillet. Be careful, though, not to add too much water! Soggy tacos don’t go over well.
