Was delicious! I added a can of corn and a can of black beans as well. How many would you say this serves? I used 2 cups of rice and it seems I could feed an army with it!

This recipe was tasty! It turned out a little soupier than I expected (don’t think I deviated from recipe!), but my family loved it. Served it over white rice that I cooked separately. Will be a recipe that we use again during the week as it was super-easy. :-)

I used uncooked basmati and it worked perfectly! Use only one cup if using dry rice, and the suggested two hours is just right for cooking time. My kids loved this and it was super simple.

This is the 2nd recipe I’ve tried on this site and like the first one it was fabulous! I just cooked the rice on the stove and poured the chicken mixture over it but it was great! My 4 year old loved it too! The next day I served the leftovers with sour cream and tortilla chips and that was a hit too!

We shred the chicken, Emily, but you can eat it any way you prefer! We like it on tortilla chips or as a dip. Yum!

Do you shred the chicken when you serve it or keep the breasts whole?

Oh my goodness…this has quickly become one of our favorites for movie night/game day. So easy to use as a “dip” with chips or to eat as a casserole. YUMMY!!!!

We are still trying to master the art of cooking rice/pasta in the crock. We just made minute rice on the stove for this recipe and mixed it in. If you’re wanting to only use your crock try this: uncooked Minute Rice ~ 30-45 minutes, Long grain rice ~ 1 hour, and Brown Rice ~ 1 1/2 hours. Just be sure you have plenty of liquid in your crock!

Raw rice because it’ll cook in the crock pot. And no, not minute rice since it takes 15 to 20 minutes to cook rice.

Is that cooked rice or raw. (if raw do you use Minute rice or long cooking)
