Chase’s Spicy Chicken Stew – A delicious and easy to make recipe.


  • 3 Frozen chicken breasts
  • 3-4 Potatoes, chopped
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Can Diced tomatoes
  • 1 Can Great northern beans
  • 1 Can Whole kernel corn
  • 1 Can Sweet peas
  • 1 Can Light kidney beans
  • 1/4 Onion, chopped
  • Garlic salt, to taste
  • Louisiana hot sauce, to taste
  • A1 Thick and Hearty, to taste


  1. Step One

    Cook on high setting 6-8 hours.

  2. Step Two

    Serve with cornbread on the side. Delicious!

    Liz, You do not have to drain the cans. If you do, replace the liquid with chicken broth or regular water. It also depends on the consistency you like for a stew. Play around with it…the beauty of crockin’ is it is so forgiving.

    Do you generally drain the canned vegetables when making a stew like this? I’m new to Crockingirls and am learning to enjoy the art of crock pot cooking :)

    Hi Beth! Glad you’re crockin’ with us :) A lot of the recipes on this site are from family and friends and when they submitted the recipe a serving size was not usually included. Most will serve about 6-8 people and we almost ALWAYS use our 6 quart crocks to cook in. Hope that helps :) Join the CG club (it’s free) and the crockin’ 101 page here on the website.     How many peope does this recipe serve?! Is there a reason the size of the crockpot needed and the number of approximate servings arent listed on most ( if any recipes). TY, Im new to this site and Im thinking I missed the memo somewhere. Ty!!

    It doesn’t have to be frozen, Brittany. You just have to cut down your cooking time…about 5 hours.

    About a 1/4 of a cup, Colette, and then you can add more at the end if it’s not enough for your taste. We always thing less it best to start with…you can always add more :) Happy Crockin’!
