Kari’s Crockin’ Holiday Applesauce

Yummy applesauce that freezes well and looks adorable in jars as holiday gifts.

This mixture can be used for caramel apples or kept warm in your slow cooker and used for dipping sliced apples.

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 3/4 Cup White Corn Syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • Apples

Directions

  1. Step One

    Put all ingredients into slow cooker, cover and cook on HIGH until all ingredients are brought to a boil.

  2. Step Two

    Stir constantly for 5 minutes.

    Has anyone ever heard of putting a whole can of condensed milk (still in the can non-open) and put water to cover it, and let it cook on 6-8 hours until it makes a whole can of CARAMEL?

    Through the process you have to keep ading water to the crock pot to keep the can emersed in water. My son told me about this.
