Cajun Cabbage – A delicious recipe for the slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 Cabbage, one head, chopped (not too small)
  • 1 Pound Ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 Pound Ground sausage, browned and drained.
  • 1 Large onion chopped
  • 1 Can Diced tomatoes
  • 1 Can Rotel
  • 2 Cups Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Step One

    Layer in slow cooker cabbage, ground beef, ground sausage, onion, diced tomatoes, and Rotel.

  2. Step Two

    Cook for 4 hours on low or until cabbage is tender; then stir ingredients together and sprinkle shredded cheese over top.

  3. Step Three

    Replace lid and continue cooking until the cheese has melted.

  4. Step Four

    Serve with piping hot cornbread.
