Chicken and Bacon Noodle Veggie Soup
This twist on traditional chicken soup will make everyone happy!
Cabbage stew is an easy and healthy recipe to make on those cold days, simply combine ingredients into slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 1 Pound ground beef, lightly browned
- 2 Cans dark red kidney beans, drained
- 2 Cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 head of cut cabbage
Directions

Step One
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.

Step Two
Cover and cook all day on LOW.

Step Three
Serve with cornbread or crackers.

Thanks for you comment. You will not want to add anymore water. The cabbage has a lot of water in it and this with the can of tomatoes, no more water will be needed. Since this is a stew and not a soup, you want to make sure it is kind of thick.

I only had one can of kidney beans i had to use a can of navy beans. Do i add water? Doesnt seem to be alot of liquid

Could you use any other kind of bean besides kidney? I hate kidney and black beans :( Love cabbage tho.
