This is a great receipe that my family has used for years my Aunt always brought this to family gatherings.


  • 2 1/2 Pounds Red Skin Potatoes quartered
  • 8 Ounces Cream cheese at room temp
  • 1 Package Buttermilk ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1 Can Cream of potato soup
  • 1/2 Cup Sweet onion chopped fine
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons chives


  1. Step One

    Place potatoes in crock

  2. Step Two

    In another bowl mix together cream cheese and dressing mix

  3. Step Three

    add soup and other ingredients mix well, pour over potatoes.

  4. Step Four

    Cover and cook on low for 7 hours. Stir before serving.

    I made these these recently for a potluck and they were a HIT!!! I sped up the cooking time by setting to High. So I think that should work fine. All crocks are different though. Mine tends to cook hotter than others.

    Could you shorten the time by cooking it on high? How long would you cook it for?
