If I were to prepare this the night before, would the butter not being liquid cause it to not turn out? Also, is there a way I could keep my apples from browning if preparing the night before?

I just go to the Whole foods section and get a granola without dried fruit.

Marjorie, If you are using a small crock, you can cut this down to fit your needs. Instead of 8 apples, you can use 2, 1/2 cup of granola, 1 TBSP of butter…etc. You may have to play with a little but it would work. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how many people this feeds? I want to make it but for myself so I don’t want to make this much. I would rather possibly make a little bit fresh every day. :)

Made this today. Did not know how it would turn out. Looked like a lot of apples when preparing. Pretty neat seeing seeing everything cooked in the morning and a good taste. Not real sweet, so do not think dessert, but pretty close! Great way to have breakfast ready when family is hurrying in the morning to get out the door!
