Apple Butter Ribs - Delicous recipe made with a slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Pounds Pork Ribs
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 Cup Apple Butter
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic, finely chopped

Directions

  1. Step One

    Rub salt and pepper on ribs.

  2. Step Two

    Place in the slow cooker.

  3. Step Three

    Cover with onions.

  4. Step Four

    Mix remaining ingredients and pour over onions.

  5. Step Five

    Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.

    Family liked this recipe. The first time I made it i let it cook 8 hours and the meat fell right off the bones. I thought it may have cooked a little to long, still good, but missed the “rib”. Second time i made it I let it cook for 6 hours and the ribs were perfect. There are pretty fancy ribs for so little prep and ingredients. Gotta love that!

    My family loves this but we used a pork roast instead of ribs. We were in a rush at the store and I didn’t have time to find pork ribs but I have made this several times and my family always loves to eat it!!

    This has become my favorite thing to cook when company’s comin,’ and I’m always asked for the recipe. I love that the meat falls right off the ribs because that means it’s tender and delicious!

    This was Ok. I Doubt I will personally will make it again just cause my family ate without even a comment or “yum” noise. I might have cooked it to long as the meat was fallen off the bone, and when you grabbed the meat it just ended up like pulled pork and not ribs. But I did like the sauce taste, I could tell a little different then the norm, but again I personally will just grab a jar of BBQ sauce next time.
