Watery Food

I have had some trouble with my recipes turning out watery. I tried lasagna and there was a pool of water in the bottom of the crock. Then I tried the black bean salsa chicken and I had to spoon water off the top with a ladle before I served it. Is this just because of my slow cooker, or could I be doing something wrong? Help!!

That is bizarre :/ Sounds like your crock is getting extra steamy inside..huh! Maybe you can try putting a dish towel over the top of the crock before you set your lid on. If the water is coming from the steam that forms on the lid, your towel will catch it. OR maybe if you made the spinach lasagna from the website, it could be the water in the spinach. We mention in the video to “squeeze” the extra water out of it before layering it in your lasagna. Just guessing, but that’s all that I can think of …
