So….I want to start Crockin – I am not a cook. I don’t plan on getting more than one Crock. I just want to invest in one Crock – which one and why still to many choices…which is the BEST ONE to have!!

Thanks

Hey Jennifer! I know I saw somewhere the girls were talking about their favorite crock being a GE Brand one from Walmart. I have three crocks & all I know is that which ever one you chose, get a programmable one that automatically switches to warm when its done!

We give some suggestions on the site: http://crockingirls.com/crockin-101/
Totally agree with Robbie, programmable is the way to go. We do love the GE and also use and love the Kitchen Aid as well.

Crockin Girls – I did watch crocking -101 and I just wish you would tell me which exact one model number and style to buy out of the three u recommended. I need you to take the decision out of my hands.

Thanks

I really like my Crock Pot Carry and go or snap and go (?) simple crock pot. No programs, just low, high, and warm. It seems to cook pretty evenly. And it was cheap!

Jennifer,
LOL…I know sometimes we just need that nudge to get us moving. Not knowing how much your budget will allow, I would go with the Kitchen Aid. Love it.

If you are not worried about budget, All-Clad. It is amazing!
Kitchen Aid is one of our favorites.

Jennifer, here is the link for the All-Clad. You said not to worry about a budget, so here is the Rolls Royce of slow cookers! http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/all-clad-deluxe-slow-cooker-with-aluminum-insert/?pkey=e|slow%2Bcooker|5|best|0|1|24||4&cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_-Feature_Recipe_Rule-_-

This last one is a great choice, too, without breaking the budget (even if you said there wasn’t one). Lol! http://www.walmart.com/ip/GE-6-Quart-Digital-Slow-Cooker/12442589

All three choices are great, but there are a few different features you should consider. The All-Clad and Kitchen Aid are 7qt, whereas the GE is a little smaller (6qt) but still plenty big enough to make most (if not all) the main dish recipes on our site. The crock of the All-Clad also works on the stovetop, oven, and your slow cooker! Less mess is always a plus, and ideal for browning a roast or your ground beef/sausage for a soup.

The GE insert is SUPER-LIGHT and nonstick…which we love!

Hope this has helped!

I bought the 6 quart Kitchen Aid programmable crockpot from Target.com. It’s expensive but it works wonderfully and it doesn’t get too hot. I LOVE that it turns to warm (for up to four hours) after the cooking time is done.
