I recieved my very first crockpot along with the recipe book a week ago. So I’m completely new to this! I want to try the Tator Soup recipe but it shows the recipe for a 6-quart cooker, unfortunately mine is only a 4 quart. Any suggestions on how to adjust the recipe?

I’ve had a 4-quart crockpot for years, thinking it was a 6-quart (I know, duh). I’ve cooked many recipes labeled for a 6-quart and have never had any problems.

Your looking to fill your slow cooker 1/2 to 3/4 full so there may be some recipes where you will need to reduce the ingredients a bit but you will probably be ok for most.

Thanks for the feedback! I made the soup without having to adjust the recipe and it was excellent! Had it for lunch today! :)
