I am often away for work for up to 9 hours. A great deal of recipes call to cook on high 4-6 hours. Can I cook on low for 9 hours without ruining a recipe?

If I need to cook a dish all day I cook it on low for 7-9 hrs. I would think most recipes are ok that way.

Absolutely! Depending on how your crock cooks (some are quite a bit hotter than others) you can usually double your crockin’ time when going from HIGH to LOW. So 4-6 hours on HIGH will be 8-12 on LOW. Now, that seems like a long crockin’ time to me. I think you’ll more commonly see 3-4 hours on HIGH or 6-8 hours on LOW. Hope this helps, girl!
